When I read the part that 'even if you come up with the money, they still won't allow you to stay,' REALLY shows how bloody minded and non-caring they are. Today Tonight will dig up a lot of similar poor dealings by the pricks concerned. It will make good TV viewing. Yes, you have to put yourself 'out there' for all to see, but it will be worth your effort. Best of luck and I look forward to seeing the successful outcome on the TV. That's what they mean by poverty is a spiraling circle (or something along those lines) and we are all subject to crash because of credit, debt and living within our means even though our means are actually outside our means. It's a risk we take. On the other hand it's not your kids fault or your own and this is terrible to go through. It's supposed to be a basic human right to have a home, delinquent or not. Wish I had one too. I wish the whole world was different. If you can get it on TV then they might change their minds but it still doesn't solve a massive problem because they will just move on to their next victim. I really feel for you. There must a a consumer affairs there in QLD? We have one in Victoria who you can call and ask for advice. Tenants in Victoria get a little red book when they rent a property and the number is on that booklet. You probably would have one aswell, otherwise google and make lots of calls! Good luck! REMAX is a Franchise and REMAX gets the bad publicity, not just Mooloolabah, so hopefully the pressure from the other franchisees will turn it around, as all their businesses will be affected.
